A leadership is an area in which a person who has the ability to lead a group, an organization or guide the system to goodwill and to a good-ways. Leadership has some values, Value are the word, a phrase, a statement, that has importance in the society. Value is set to be consider to be important or beneficial and it has a high opinion of in the society. Leadership values are meant to be the one that the stand and proud to be upon. Values are in Pakistan society are most looked and trusted. People listen from their ancestor and have proper beliefs on them. Values are the most valued thing in every family, they keep forwarding them to their children so they must know how to run the system and represent the value. Leadership guide and facilitate others to make a positive difference in lives of their own and to surroundings of his. Leadership has core values on which they make their words upon, the core values are:
Integrity means being honest and stick to your strong moral code or principles. Integrity refers to one’s personal commitment to their moral principles. Without the integrity every individual can do anything of what he thinks, can think outside the box from moral principle by making unethical decision that will hurt the surrounding and his reputation will be bad enough that no one will trust the individual. Ethics is everything in one’s business, the reputation, the moral code is saved from ethics. By choosing integrity and acting upon with it, every individual can set a standard with importance for all around him. A leadership values first importance is integrity, a true leader always stands with its moral principles, because he knows that a winner will never cheats, they take moral high ground and impact, inspire all around him also. A leader true personality consists of integrity, ethics and the moral code on which he runs his system and inspire people around him.
Services depend upon the person of how long and how much he can provide. A leader always commit itself to countless services to its community, its people and most importantly its country. Some people show, recognize the service themselves which means of showoff and get the publicity, but a true leader never ever get his services get recognized, rather they get their services speak for themselves. They speak through their actions, their services and through their work which make them true leader. True leader never shows off its work, they volunteer their time to a charitable or non-profitable organization. In service one individual sacrifice its personal benefits to help its team, sometime all sometime enough to run its moral code and pass them to on to others. A leadership service is that he volunteers its time, its personal benefits, its ethical code to the people around him and sacrifice itself and not publicity it to showoff rather the leader quietly work for it.
Authenticity is not considered as a strong leadership value to be looked in a leader but this value is the most hard and best value to see a leader has in it. Authenticity means that the words, the statement, the phrase one’s has spoken is truthful and that statement speaks for the personality of that individual. It tells that one is true to their personality; they are same to people as they are to themselves. In today’s world the leader we have are different in front of the people and they are different in alone or in front of them. Authenticity means that the person talks authentically, he is clean, he is the person who does not have double personality. A leader should always show his true color to everyone so he must not be judged and people should be able to trust him. Rather than today’s leader who are liars, have double personality, they volunteer their time but in return of sympathy, prizes which are meant to be money, they run leadership like it some kind of business, they are earn profit from it. Always looking for something in return.
Confidence is much needed in a leader and in leadership values it is well you can say a must quality and a value which is looked in a leader. Everything is built on confidence. A leader is also distinctive from others on the basis of its confidence, because if you have confidence then you can be able to view your moral principles, your values, you system to others and in full voice and letting people know that you are a body which is here to make a change or trend or a statement against something. Leader confidence can make or break it value. A leader value is separate from the value a leader is chosen from and leader value is broken if there is no confidence in it. Confidence is the only thing a true leader stands out from a fake leader because all other value can be existing in every personality and cannot be differentiated in, but a confidence can split a true leader from anything.
Transparency is there because it allows people to see what is happening? Why it is happening? How it happened? What is the cost of it? What is paid to happened this? A leader always tells and shows the step he took at every stage. Transparency allows other to see what is being done and why. When a leader values transparency, it means he is showing his assets and tells everyone on his team that what he is doing? And what strategy he is going apply? Transparency allows everything to openness and accountability of work place. A leader who chooses transparency means that he has nothing hide, it means that he is honest and the work he is doing is for not itself and for the surroundings of it. A leader must opt the transparency when he becomes a leader and show his previous earning so he must not be ashamed after that what he was before that.
Empathy is what a leader becomes a leader for, so he can convey the message, the needs, the feeling of others to the government and be in government and solve the situation. Empathy means to the ability of one individual to understand and share the feeling of other. Feel the intensity and feel their feelings and share them and solve them. Empathy separates the people who work from those who don’t. A true leadership always consists of empathy but sadly our todays leader is abusing the word empathy and its meaning in the name of getting sympathy vote and profit out of it.
Humility means to be honest and modest with others. Humility is the one value which separate a good leader from a bad one, not only a leader but also a person. If you are not being modest and honest about yourself with others and with your team then a leader is not honest with itself. A leader is the one who honestly tells his people that what is going on in the surroundings, what changes are going to be made and why. Humility means to show the self-made things and decision and its outcomes to the people who choose you as the leader of them, who kept you at the seat at which you become that powerful that you take matter on your own hands.
Respect should be there at any level of age, humility, empathy, transparency, confidence, authenticity, service and integrity. You should respect your elders, your people, your laws, your ideas, your-self. In leadership respect is very important, the leader is taking the responsibility to represent the country, country’s people, their laws, their attitude, their thoughts, their rules, their demand on national level and he should respect them and if he not then he is not doing an honest job. Respect means doing the job given to you honestly, with dignity and pleasure. A leader always represents the demand and country with respect because he is not the owner, he is the representation of it and he keeps the people expectation in good hands and in respect.
A leader always is chosen on the basis of these values. A leader has its own definition of every value and take his team according’s to its methodology but keeping in mind these core value and leadership list should have. A leader is made on its own not be other person, he absorbs all the quality from seeing and taking the environment into its hand and be unique from others. Everyone can have a quality of a leader but not every leader has the same quality.
