The way of thinking and behaving is the main idea of others kept that what is leadership philosophy is. It is basically based on the values and beliefs of one individual. A leadership philosophy is very important because the team members and all the other know that what they are working for what to expect from it. The leadership philosophy is the thing which also a leader acts upon and make sure that his team members also get on board with the philosophy. The leadership philosophy has all the value and importance, if the philosophy works it means the leader is successful in his idea. The philosophy is important because it tell to how to deal with the situation and hot act according to the situation. The leadership philosophy helps the team and also the leader to keep the environment less stressful and keep the things productive in sense of mind. Philosophy brings the whole idea of togetherness and a team on track and straight with the core and beliefs of a leadership philosophy. There are different types of leadership philosophy in the leader point of view.
In democratic leadership philosophy each and every person on the team makes a call on the project but the final call is based on the input of each team member and the leader of that group make the final call. But all the member of the team, even the employees also can speak up about the doing of the project direction. This style and philosophy are very effective and commonly effective and used world-wide because in this philosophy everyone has the right to say about the project and can change the mind of the leader according to the betterment of the project and leadership philosophy. Democratic leadership philosophy is very effective because it is a structure which allows every level of employee in the team has the open chance to exercise the project as what they want and according to their wish. It also tells and takes their meeting in consideration and makes good choices. For example, the government party as today stand in position is PTI in Pakistan, run by the leader in Imran Khan who has a clear philosophy that he has to take down the corrupt people in the country, bring back the money and run the country clean. As when he got in the position, he started taking down the corrupt people but he was not working to stable the economy of the country which alarmed the people and they got out on the road and started protesting. Then at that point the PTI’s team recommended the leader to change the vision and also take responsibilities of other affairs and that’s how the dramatic philosophy work that the team member has the right to tell the leader and even can change the leader to new one.
Autocratic leadership philosophy is completely opposite from democratic philosophy as this depends on the philosophy and command of the leader itself. The leader makes the rules, makes the philosophy and everything is run according to the leader. The leader makes the decision without taking any consideration from the members of the team. This leadership philosophy not even listens to the employee and employee is there just as a house labor. It is rarely effective because it is not run on national level, the philosophy of this is not very successful in national or world-wide but it can be effective in household part and little business where everything is run on leader money and his decisions. For example, in a house the owner of the house tells the employees of his to go to store and buy the groceries or anything he tells not the other way around, employee just listen and command on the order. But on the world-wide like a political party, it is not run by autocratic philosophy because there every employee has some huge duty on his head that he has to make sure goes right, so there every employee has the right to talk to leader and give him/her advice to how to change.
Strategic leadership philosophy is the type of leadership in which the leader has a sit-down connection between the target of the operation and the growth of the operation. The leader accepts the situation and act according to it, he sets a strategy and work under that strategy. This is commonly effective and it is effective in organization, companies and business as when they start a business they set target and a strategy that what their business will sell and how they sell, where their location would be to reach out to them, how they will publicity it and how large they going to get. Thus, all is first strategized and then the leader brings it out. Leadership philosophy is very common and effective because in this section strategy thinking supports multiple types of members and employee at once. For example, in a marriage banquet the owner first sets the price of food, the price is set for the hall. The first strategy is set then the marriage banquet is set to start.
Pushing employee out of their comfort zone and also working him hard to constantly to compete more task which they do on regular basis. Transformational leadership philosophy is a type of leader who wants to improve the company’s assets and earn more, the benefits and the profits with less staff. The leader sets the task; goals and the employee complete it every week or month. This leadership philosophy has a tactical boss which always looking for the some tactical stuff and always looking to push people to outside the box and love to compete their employee with other employee from the team so they compete against each other.
This style of philosophy is similar to football and cricket team coach, the team leader is focusing on identifying and creating individual player as a best there is and wining the project. The project after the wining will be given to the leader and the member but the appreciation will be given to the leader because of his leadership philosophy, that how he created the style of the team, how he led the team to victory and how he constructed and founded each individual quality and worked on it. He all did the leadership philosophy to give other some benefit out of it and show what value he has to run the system and the leader is what he says he is. Coach style leadership philosophy has many examples, and one of the great examples is Pakistan wining the Champions trophy in 2017 with great management and leadership philosophy of the manager and the cricket caption Sarfaraz Ahmed. Pakistan lost his first 2 matches in champion’s trophy but came back with great leadership. They lost their match with India too but they defeated them in final with a heavy margin which left them in broken hearts but won the match by pure class fielding and overall performances.
The last philosophy which I am going to talk is very rare in many countries but very popular in some countries like Pakistan, India and many more like these countries. In this philosophy the leader listens to employee but employee can’t make decision on its own and do anything. It depends upon the leader that if he accepts the proposal then it will be in consideration else it will be dismissed. Bureaucratic philosophy goes way back in books. In this system the employee can think on their own but not do that work without the permission of the leader. The employee the specific task not the employee chose on its own. Employee only has the right to do the work which is given by the company or department leader and if some special thing comes up like new discovery then the employee will first talk to the leader and if the leader approves then he will proceed if not then that idea will go waste or to other company or organization. For example, Harold Genee is the president of the international telephone corporation (ITT). He was the prime example as he successfully transformed the company into a huge multinational corporation by utilizing the style in a bore arctic philosophy.
All the style of the leadership philosophy cannot apply all in one stance because every philosophy has different reaction and consensuses. Every leader has different style of adopting the system and running it in different philosophy. But the entire leader, in political point of view, takes different philosophy and tries to earn more profit by investing nothing much.
